 The Songwriter’s Expo is a monthly event that showcases the work of local songwriters. The Expo was created to provide a venue for both well and lesser-known Canadian songwriters to perform their original compositions in a supportive environment. Designed to celebrate the craft and courage of writing songs, the Expo places no restrictions regarding the style of songwriting, and shows are designed to reflect as much diversity as possible.
The Expo functions not only as a forum for songwriters to experience each others’ work, it also provides the public an opportunity to enjoy a new artistic experience. To encourage attendance, there is never a cover charged for the event.
The show is programmed and hosted by songwriter, Monique Barry. There are four songwriters for each show; each set is a half-hour in length. |
